Train Times

During the lockdown period, timetables may be subject to change at short notice. Passengers are advised to check the latest information on any planned journey by using the Journey Planner feature on SWR’s website. The latest government advice is only to use public transport for essential journeys.

The latest version of the amended timetable will operate from September 7th until December 11th. A copy of the Monday to Friday timetable is now available. Download as a PDF here.

This new timetable provides an hourly service between Waterloo and Exeter St. David’s. Two evening peak time trains from Exeter to Honiton and Axminster on weekdays will not run. Some peak time trains will have extra carriages.

South Western Railway is not yet publishing a printed timetable for weekend services, because of last minute alterations due to engineering works.  Click here for the latest information.

Passengers are asked to avoid busy times and to book in advance whenever they can. If possible, tickets bought at stations should be purchased by contactless card. However, ticket machines and ticket offices now accept cash payments again.

Passengers must wear a face covering on trains. It is advisable to wear a face covering at crowded stations. Children under 11 and people with disabilities are exempt.
